Art is dead! Long live art!

In the project “Art is dead! Long live art!” the group Kolektiv Digital, focusing on classical art, i.e. painting, and on the possibilities offered by digital media, decided on a video reproduction of ten works from different eras significant for the fine art.
Video reproduction of these images offers a new experience of painted/filmed portraits. Although frozen, our models are alive. Their breathing, subtle squinting, changes in body position as time goes by, their facial expressions and reactions to the space they are in, surrounded by a stage set and exposed in front of the lens to be exposed to their audience later, aware of their existence and worthy of their task, are recorded.
